The Invitation

On chance occassions from Dreamtime
have I launched into astral plains
to meet with other-worldly friends
who seem to naturally know my name.

Preciously have I held these journeys,
and practiced launching by conscious choice.
For there is no greater delight
in my wildest dreams
than speaking in my astral voice.

But never had I dared to wonder
about taking flight while fully awake--
What might Life do with my wakeful body,
while I flit around the astral state???

Still, The Invitation came
just the other day;
so unexpected it was, in turn,
I was much in human dismay.
While deep immersed in sacred prayer
I had outstretched a searching hand;
quite suddenly my two fingers found
a portal to a distant land.

You see, there was nothing but air
for my fingers to find
within the "here and now."
Yet, within seconds of my reaching out,
the stranger's fingers found mine. . . somehow.

His two fingers in kind
encircled mine, clasping gently
with his thumb.
So ominous was the sensation,
my voice was taken dumb.
Shocked! I recoiled my hand
without uttering a word--
it was some time again
before my voice was heard.

Today I have come to realize
as I reflect in calm repose,
through this stranger
it is Spirit's intention
to invite me to travel
my farthest dimensions.

Hi everybody. Haven't been here in a long
while. An significant editing project had
drawn me away. I was pleased when I realized
this experience would easily find expression despite my Left Brain thinking of late.
Looking forward to getting back in touch.

Hoodwinked: Exploring Our Culture's Profound Illusions by Larry Gottlieb

Let Your Goddess Grow! by Charlene Proctor

Intuitively, I know I've lived many lifetimes, and none more interesting than the one I'm living now. However, being born an old soul somehow did not excuse me from the same job I share with you and that is learning to craft a positive attitude about
