The Berserker
T’was in medieval times
That there were warriors so strong
That nae anyone would want to fight
For to the berserker’s they belonged
Fearsome warriors that many a fable said
Would turn into a wolf or bear
Screaming and yelling into the midst
Of their enemies’ lair
For on their back t’was not a kilt they wore
But the skin of a wolf or bear
Eyes that would take on an evil glow
Of their anger ye must beware
They worshiped the God Odhinn
Who appeared dancing with a bear
T’was just a worshiper…
.A berserker
Consuming drugs and drink
Donning their heads and skins
There secret gothic rituals
Would finally begin
A magical immunity to weapons
Induced by their God Odhinn
Put spells to protect and shield
Form weapons used against them
Dying their bodies so as to scare
The berserker natural ferocity
Gave all their enemies
Much to fear
Berserkers could perform feats
That seemed impossible to other men
For these were no ordinary warriors
These Vikings from another land
