You are so right Sherry. Because without our brave men and women who defend freedom and liberty, we would not be free. I salute all those who serve, and gave their lives, so I could sit here and read this poem and give you this comment. Thank you so much for sharing, Sherry.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love. May He also bless the men and women of our armed forces, who are there to make sure we are safe and have the freedoms our forefathers wrote into our Constitution. May the Lord Jesus bless the families of all of those who are serving in our military, and the souls of those who gave their lives in the performance of their duty. Freedom is sweet but each grave marks an empty whole in the souls of those who lost a loved one. Pray for him... pray for them.

Hi Sherry, this is my first visit to your site and I must say this post is a wonderful tribute to our fallen heroes. The picture and the music speaks for itself, but when accompanied by your wonderful poem, "Remember", you have created a memorial for sons, fathers, husbands, and sweethearts who have served their country and lost their lives.

If this was read with feeling and respect as an Elegy beside every grave, Sherry, I wonder how long it would take to finish the process... Now THAT might begin to give us some perspective on the magnitude of the loss and on the depth of your words. Always the young, the naive, lead the charge. If the Commander-in-Chief, followed by his/her lieutenents, led the charge like in old days when the country was at stake, less blood would be shed.

70% of our troops have been killed by American friendly fire, which must give some indication what hell it must be in Iraq. Having many friends in the American Air Force, and those who fought for my countries liberty, I stand shoulder to shoulder, with honour for ours too...
