When I weep, I do not shed tears, I shed weight off my shoulders, I shed all of my fears. When I scream, I don't wear out my voice, I wear out the feelings, That keep me from rejoice. When I whisper, I do not tell secrets, I tell myself that, This must be as good as it gets. When I look, I do not see the world, I see the perceptions, Of a little girl. When I speak, I do not complain, I tell those that are grim, To welcome the rain. When I write, I do not think, I just write, And breathe, and blink. When I finish, I am not too bored to go on, It just means there are no lyrics, Left to my song.
