of Greasy Grass Creek; Custard’s

Last Stand were known as; big finale.

Armed shoot-em-up  - Lakota-Northern

Cheyenne vs. the 7^th Cavalry U.S.A.

 Army; mainly seventeen year olds, not

seasoned troops; carried Carbines.

700 troops led by Custer would go up

against 50,000 American Indians led by

Sitting Bull; they used repeating rifles

Whoops!  Would later do some scalping.

Then there were Reno and Benteen

Somewhat insignificant in the scheme

of things; split up from Custard’s men

Would suffer the consequences.

The colonel and his men rode over a ridge

Were stool-pigeoned; made a run for  the

hills – Crazy Horse and his braves did a

number on them; only survivor was a horse.

Washington greatly frowned on all of this

Would take away all the Native American’s

Land; placed on square footage reservations

They were here before us – now forgotten!
