Excellent, Retta. A candid expression of love spilling from the heart right on the page. Loved this poem!

I have been in love once,
It was enough to last a lifetime,
I burned my heart to ashes,
And I bear the scars to prove it. <--That's so touching....another wonderful poem Retta..
What a heartfelt and most loving,
beautiful conversation with your mate.
I hope my mate and I to have that kind of deep love too, someday.

Beautiful Reindeer.
What a precious heart you have.
I wish having such hearts would not so often be a liability.
I am suspecting poets love and believe because we just don't have an "Off" switch anywhere.
Best wishes.

The best thing about loving you,
Is the light you brought into my life,
It is knowing that somewhere in the world,
You wait for me to accept the fact,
we all need that light.
