The mist rises from the earth,
Covering her in a soft veil,
Blowing soft wet dew across my face,
And I think of you…
Are you still sleeping?
Have you risen from your bed?
Does your heart look for me,
As I am looking for you?
I stare across the land,
Waiting for the sun to rise,
And burn away the frost,
That has settled on my heart…
I walk into the forest,
Still dark and so quiet!
Wishing you were here,
To share it’s waking beauty with me…
Your love is more,
Than just a dream,
I try so hard to believe in-
Something I see in the rising mist,
The shadow of your love,
Coming softly towards me…
Swirling haze surrounds you,
My heart whispers softly,
Hoping you will hear;
Are you real?
Have you finally come?
Place your arms around me,
And hold me so tightly,
Never let go again my love…
Keep me safe,
Tell me our dreams,
Are real and true ,
That our life is finally beginning,
Let this be the morning,
That the rising sun,
Burns away the mist between us,
Removing all doubt from our hearts,
So we can enjoy these mystic mornings,
Together forever…

A longing poem with beautiful words and expressions, i.e., "And burn away the frost,/That has settled on my heart…" Love that. Your cadence is outstanding and the haunting, honest words just make this poem awesome.
absolutely breathtaking...such an elogant write, Love as nature intended.......lets hope the sun rises early and the mist clears quickly....I so want these two to be together.
I like the way you utilize nature to convey a feeling -- more than just a visual.

I had tha feeling waking from my car under the redwoods on the Northern Califoria coast. The ancient mist rises and you can just imagine what the trees have seen. Fabulous sunset over San Francico Bay.
Powerfully soothing use of imagery. Nice line, "burn away the frost that has settled on my heart." A very effective poem; each stanza builds toward your moving conclusion. Suggestion to consider- join the last two lines and restructure to read: "So we can forever share such mystic mornings." A very enjoyable read!
