My forest tells me it's secrets no more,
For that which I was,
Lies dying on the floor,
And my heart is a hollow thing,
What sad tales and sorrow I bring!
But read if you dare,
Just don't stare,
I can bear none to look upon,
What I was,
Or what I've become...
I burned her,
I carved her,
I left her lying upon the sacrificial stone,
And thinking I was alone,
I rose from the ashes,
And flew home,
Where it all begin so long ago,
Searching the past for what I use to know,
Fleeing the hell I once called home,
Rising like one of Lucifer's Angels,
To fly in the midnight sky,
I watch with bleeding eyes,
Those who struggle still,
Trying to find a way to fill,
The emptiness so deep within,
Living with the burden of all my sins...
I alight here at Fireside,
Thinking this is just as good a place to hide,
As anywhere I have been,
Meeting others, making a friend,
Among those I see,
Whose hearts are as broken and shattered as me.
