Come into my Garden
So green with life...
Come and see if you can find my Stone Children
Hidden among the leaves...
But,
Don't try to talk to them,
Because they've been taught not to speak.
And,
Don't ask them to play,
They never learned how...
But,
They can show you how to hide in places
You'd never imagine.
And,
They can be so quiet,
That wild field mice can play about their feet,
And my little Stone Children won't budge,
Or twitch,
But stay as still as the stone
They hide behind...

You think they're not alive,
But if you look real close,
You will see that the dew on their faces
Is not rain from the sky,
But tears from their glass-like eyes...

Spiders...
Spiders spin their misty webs
Between their fingers
Like a milky cage,
And they dare not move,
My little ones,
Until the job is done...

There!
Among the leaves!
See their tiny faces?
You don't see them?
That's okay...
Not
Many
People
Do...

"The Stone Children" strikes memories of the brain of my imagination and call me to bring a sacred chalice to collect the "DEW on their faces" and make ichor to supply the gods.
