The lovely moon rose,
In the starlight sky,
Setting the stage
For you and I…

I stood so still,
For I could hear,
The lovely melody
Whispering softly in the air.

I could see by the soft look
In your eyes,
You heard it too,
And we raised our faces to the sky…

Stood back to back,
Holding hands,
Feeling such joy,
Singing in my heart,
I felt as though
We should never part…

Then you begin to dance,
And my heart leaped at the chance
To be one with you once more,
To use the earth as our dance floor,
And you twirled me around,
To the beat of that lovely sound…

And we danced under the stars,
To the lovely melody of spring,
To the love we both chose to bring,
To the beauty of the night,
To the love that felt so right…

And on that lovely night,
I discovered I truly loved you,
And knew at last,
You loved me too…
