The Conversation:




He told her:

“I am numb,
Undone,
Can’t see the sun…”

I told her:

“I had to go-
Get away,
Just no way,
I could stay…”

He told her:

“I got nothing to live for,
All I did was try to help,
All it did was get me thrown out!"


I told her:

“I could not bear to hear him shout-
Everything I did was bad,
All he did was make me sad…”

He told her:

“I no longer want to live,
All I did was give-
No reason for me to stay,
Think I want to die today…”

I told her:

“I will go to him and see,
If I can make him let it be-
No reason to die,
We were both living a lie…”

He told her:

“You can’t stop me,
Neither will she,
Why don’t both of you,
Just let me be!”

I told her:

“I don’t want him dead!
Just couldn’t bear the words he said-
I won’t let him die,
But neither will I lie…”

He told her:

“I am numb
Undone,
Can’t see the sun…”

I told her:

“I can’t stop crying,
But I’m tired of trying…”

He told her:

“Can’t feel a thing anymore…”

I told her:

“I can’t stay!”

We both heard her say:
“Sometimes,
Love isn’t enough…”


The silence was deafening,
As I walked out the door…
