I rise thinking
Of our talk last night,
Wondering at the things
You always say,
I feel them so deeply,
Keeping them safe,
So they will last me,
Through-out the day...

Soft words,
Tender kisses,
Wondering if I should,
Knowing how easy it
Would be to love you,
Wanting to run away,
Yet there I stood,
Listening,
Couldn't help but stay...

I see you standing so tall,
Wondering who will catch me
If i fall?
Who will be there
To pick up the shattered pieces
When its time for you to leave?
Knowing in my heart,
There is no one but me...

I am loving you more each day,
With every word you say,
My heart steps closer and closer,
Where will you be,
When I look behind me,
And see,
It was all a dream...

ah dont be so sad, sometimes you know, you just have to take a chance, for it might be the right path. Our hearts break easily, but we have to give love a chance sometimes. Tough decisons.
Very special write Retta.

I really liked the first stanzas assonance, 'I rise thinking'
Of our..night,'
You hold the unstressed I's between the stressed, with proper numbers.
'Wondering at the things
You always say,
I feel them so deeply,
You do the same here, sliding down the sonic scale.

So they will last me,
Through-out the day... oh-ou-ow

A variable consistency is applied throughout, but I enjoyed the form well. The sentiment carries through wonderfully, and you close it skillfully. Salutations.

Dreams can be wonderful things. Sometimes a dream is better than the reality. May your dreams come true. This is wonderful.

This is such a deep, open and revealing piece of longing, bittersweetness and emotional roller coaster rides BUT ONLY YOU KNOW the answers to those questions you so poignantly pose! Exceptional Reflective Work!!!!

Bone-chilling write, Reindeer. Questions to which we always seem to return. Nothing besides death and taxes is certain in this world. Love certainly isn't, nor job security. Thank you for this write. It's beautiful!
