*Written for a friend...Silent Cries...Of Firesidepoetry.com*
Cries In The Night...
Walking in my forest,
Safe and whole,
I hear the sound of weeping,
Echoing in the soft breeze,
Following the sound,
I find you sitting down,
Red scarlet tears trailing,
From your wrists,
Soft silent cries…
That bleed into the night,
Whispering to me,
That you are losing the fight…
I see you there,
And feel such pain,
Rising from your heart,
How I wish I could help!
But know the words I say
Can’t make the pain go away…
I wish I could bring you here,
Where you would be safe,
From those that seek,
To make you bleed,
Those tears I can’t bear to see…
I would show you a place,
Where the forest is dim,
Soft shadows protecting you,
From those who seek,
To tear your soul in two,
You would like here I know…
For the air is clean and fresh,
And the creeks and rivers are pure,
The eagles still fly here,
And the wolves sing at night,
Songs of such loneliness,
That they call to you to join them,
Walking in the forest at night,
With only the stars to guide you,
You shall see the beauty
Of the world here,
And forget your fear…
I wish I could bring you here,
Where you could dry your tears,
And those that seek to bleed you dry,
Could not hear your sad cries…
They do not ask you questions here,
Your secrets are safe,
They do not lie about love,
Do not make promises,
They cannot keep
Perhaps here you could find,
The peace you seek...

This poem was a true depiction of your inner beauty and spirit. You have shown your true magnificent self here. One who is always giving and loving and unselfishly gives support to those who need and never ask for it. You have a wonderful heart and I hope you keep it for as long as you live. A beautiful poem that speaks loudly of your character. LC
Retta...what a good pure heart you have...this is a beautiful poem of genuine love for another that seeks only their happiness and to be away from harm. The picture is perfect for this.

Having been to such a place, I can say that solutions lie within, but the kindness of an extended hand means everything.
