-- Comforted By Your Love --

Trailing my hands over wild mustard,
Yellow weeds that stain my hands,
Walking through these woods,
Leaving the smell of sage brush,
On my jeans,
And like the sorrow in my heart,
It never washes out…

My mood grows,
Wild and fierce-
I pull out the roots,
Of the wild weeds,
And cast them aside,
Set them adrift in the tide…

I am afire inside,
A volcano of wild emotions,
Threatening to rend me in two…
I flee the world then,
As I always do…

Run to the forest,
Where it is dark and cool,
But it is only when I see you,
Standing in the shade,
That my fever begins to fade…

So strange my love,
That you hear me call,
Though I never spoke a word
At all…

You calm the fires in my soul,
And ease the burdens,
I have always known,
Some how your gentle kisses,
Softens my heart,

And no matter how angry I am,
You can always make me smile,
We walk for hours,
And the whole time,
You speak so softly,
I have to strain my ears,
To hear you…

But it’s what I feel,
That I love the most-
I lay in your arms,
And we watch the sun,
Fall into the sea,

Your love comforts me-

I listen to you sing,
Such a lovely song,
My heart is captured,
By your soft melody,

I turn and hold your sweet face,
In my hands,
And so tenderly kiss your lips,
Feeling the love flow,
From your soul into my heart,

I lay my head on your neck,
And whisper in your ear;
“I love you baby,
You have nothing to fear,

I cannot leave you,
We are bound by a love too strong,
When I am not with you,
Even my secret world seems wrong…

And nothing you do,
Could make me stop,
Loving you…

Your continous growing expertise in the wordsmithing world is amazing. You pass some fine phrases, i.e.,
"Leaving the smell of sage brush,
On my jeans,
And like the sorrow in my heart,
It never washes out… -- Fine, fine poem.

Standing On My Knees by Pinkstone
