From out of the past came the thundering beat of ... word origins?

Time Travel and the Writer's Lament

I looked into the worm hole
Across the span of time
And there stood I
In coat and tie
Young and in my prime.
But that was long ago
I thought
When I was daring
Brave and strong
And keen of eye
And full of life
Yes, right where
I belong.
I’ll have to take
A leap of faith
To cross that swirling
Divide
To find within
What might have been
What time has not
Supplied.
A trial run
Is what I need
I grabbed a nearby
Book
And tossed it in
And watched it
Spin
The worm hole
Sang and
Shook.
Out from the past
I stood aghast
A sight I shan’t
Forget
‘Twas a string of
Letters A to Z
It was the bleeping
Alphabet.

Book and man undone. When I look through the worm hole I see a young woman with long red hair confidently wearing a silver embroidered mini dress and silver stilletos! Sometimes I wish I could go back. Well penned and truly enjoyed.

Actually, this is really a good poem using cosmic theory to express your thoughts about the passage of time.
