This is humor and fun, yet...the world would fall before our eyes if ever we forget how to fantasize.

Poem Artwork

Shakira

It’s in her shimmy and in her shakes
It’s in the way she undulates
It’s in her lips and in her smiles
And oh those eyes how they beguile.

She’s a Colombian export and I don’t mean java
She sizzles to temps above molten lava
She jostles my brain and curls my toes
I wonder if she plays anything goes?

Shakira my dear-a come here-a to me
Let me get lost in all that I see
You’re more than a dream, more than ideal
You gotta believe me I know how I feel.

Just think of the ruckus we two could make
We’d knock down some walls whatever it takes
We’d break all the records at least all of mine
Let our lips and our eyes and our hearts intertwine.

Then a voice in my head gave a caution to me
It’s a matter of life, can’t you see can’t you see?
There’s an age difference man, it could be unwise
You could be right, but... if she dies, she dies!

The title caught my eye today, and with you all the way. Shakira can make my day.

I get the humor and its fantastical, just like the idea that she would hook up with you. I once had that fantasy with the Colombian dentist who did my root canal. It must've been the way she looked that kept me from having any pain.

Seriously, if you are musical you could have a relationship like Charro did with that old codger. I promise I won't tell your wife. ;-)

I'm with you, Edward!!! I think she is the most beautiful woman ever born...and certainly an extraordinary talent! The pop divas of today pale in her presence...LOVE her!!!! Great poem!

What would life be without fantasizing, without dreams and hope. Very enjoyable reading, great rhyming and a wonderful sense of humor.
