Poem Artwork

Grav•i•tas
dignity, seriousness, or solemnity of manner.

If you want to be taken seriously
You must move about mysteriously
Get off the couch do not slouch
Wear the proper accroutrement
Yes, my friend, those are clothes
You see, life is all about manners
And planners with savoir-faire
It’s a case of what you wear
And how you wear it
And diamonds measured by the carat.

Now when in comes to class
You cannot be a faker
If you want to be a shaker
Show them all you’ve got exactly what it takes
To flaunt your je ne sais quoi
A touch above the average bourgeois
You must show you’ve got a little brass
Stroll down the Champs-Elysées
In the most suggestive way
There it’s not about your der•ri•ère
It’s all about your ass.

Part of the problem IS gravitas. As a woman (or anyone) getsnolder, gravitas takes over, and causes things to sag. That ruins th whole picture.

Just funnin' with nya'!
