I don't suppose this is poetry but... ...it is the way I feel.
The Simple Math Of You
? + you =life Sorrow + you = joy Despair + you = hope Existence + you = living Lost + you = found Boredom + you = thrill Emptiness + you = fulfillment Bitter + you = sweet Nightmare + you = dream Insignificance + you = meaning House + you = home Desert + you = oasis Garden + you = Eden Earth + you = Nirvana Ephemeral + you = infinite Me - you = ?
Interesting and unique. It may not be poetry but it gets the point across loud and clear!

That was very impressive. I bet I know who it's about. I hope you get to add yourself to her and see what the perplexing answer to this addition problem adds up too my friend.

Regis,
This one is so creative...
This is a wonderful poem....
Excellent math and you got all the answer correct. So a perfect 100% score and A+ for you here. I must agree that Me-you=? as there are some in my life that with out them I would have many ? marks as to what life would be like.
Really enjoyed this
Tommy
This is a delightful and unique offering, Regis, which I have greatly enjoyed: Simple or not, I have reread it several times and tried to really get my head round feeling those strong sums - even trying to think of what the ?? could stand for... But, nope, this is perfectly balanced as it is with questions well answered - and with the mysteries that also remain! I really think that Regis's Theorum has much more appeal for a great many more people than old Pythagorus!! Well done indeed, and thank you, too, for your lovely message of support and appreciation. Keep up the lessons! Kate xx
I agree with Joe's comments, and your poem seems to indicate just that. What a lovely and inspiring poem this is!! Yes, it's good to have mates who are understanding and supportive enough to bring the negative to positive.
Sorry I have not been around much lately due to many obligations which requires my personal attention. Compiling my newsletter is the utmost importance; and I plan to do readings to children during birthday parties and public libraries. This will take up most of my time in the summer.
Thank you so much for your generous support and comments.
Lots of love to you and everyone,

A pretty cool poem. What it says to me is that my mate can bring positive things to any negative thing that might occur in my life.
interesting how paradoxical logical meta languages can get it must be said of them there must be as much truth as falsity in them & since we need one meta language to understand another meta language & some say the same can be said of poetry but of course they would wouldn´t they

Regis, we can break it down to 1/2/3/+ anyone of us and it works. I got quite a laugh from sweet Tinka's sumation:
"Me - you = ?
Answer = Nothing, empty, Code Blue"
It works on whatever level we use it.
This is very clever Regis. When we set up a poem for presentation like this in whatever form we choose we are doing it for our readers;
because we want them to get the greatest joy and understanding from
our poetry. You hit the mark with this one my friend. Well done.
Bravo! Bill
Even the title is pure poetry! I like the simplicity. Combine the straight-forwardness with the colored font and the use of the plus sign rather than spelling out the word e-q-u-a-l-s, you, good sir, have a Dadaist piece to be proud of. Nice work!
I think it is great poetry and philosophy as well as a great idea for a greeting card of some sort, as always I enjoy reading everything you post, Regis, this was poetry at its highest position...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

Never knew that maths is so simple !!!!!
Mind you, summing up such illogical creatures as women (ooh I'll burn for that comment LOL) in a series of equations makes you a braver man than me !!
