Fall We Must

Like snowflake
Raindrop
Hailstone
From sky of gemstone
Or of lead
Feather
From eagle
Or sparrow
Leaf
From lofty tree
Or lowly bush
Petal
From ebony orchid
Or tiny snowdrop
Star
Meteor
From endless space
We all must fall
Drift down like gossamer
On the winds of eternity
So we may rise again

IN MANY CASES, THIS IS SO TRUE...FOR I HAVE HEARD IT SAID THAT, ONCE ONE HITS THE 'BOTTOM'... THERE IS NO WHERE TO GO BUT 'UP'. THE IMAGERY IN THIS WORK IS JUST WONDERFUL...I COULD FEEL MYSELF 'FLOATING'. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

I cannot convey how much this poem touched me today. I was in a mental rut and a friend kept trying to cheer me up. I expressed gratitude for the effort, but explained that i had to "make this trip to funky town" to get to happyland again. Relationships, work, family. LIFE. In love. From pedestals. In the eyes of others. Yes, at some point we all must fall so we may rise again. With much appreciation for your wisdom, Ciao4now Cherise

Falling on our rump is the best way for God to get our attention. When everything is just fine, we aren't as inclined to seek His face in all we do. This is a lovely write. Simple, elegant imagery, and inspiring. Hugs, Michelle
