If you don't dance to the "prescribed" tune, many (even those you thought were close to you) will discard you like a wilted flower.

Poem Artwork

Morass

Of late
I trudge in a quagmire
infested with weeds
of intolerance
judgment
and jealousy
They tug at my spirit
and I would surely fall
and drown in the viscous mud
of incomprehension
were it not for thoughts of you
and what you have meant
on my path
from the moment I met you
to where I do not know

It's about duality, but mostly about resonance and dimensions. Many who have loved us in the old times will not even recognize us today... sames goes for us. You will not be able to tolerate harsh and lower vibrations easily.

Nice words again, dear Regis, but you've got to climb off the fence. You cannot live much longer in both worlds.

Very thought provoking. This one makes you think hard. You wrote, "If you don't dance to the "prescribed" tune, many (even those you thought were close to you) will discard you like a wilted flower." This is so true and I believe many are not aware of it.

You write truthes in which all shoul dread...they will benefit much. Thanks for sharing...(((((HUGS)))))

Regis,
I see all the raving reviews here, and I am humbled to even comment on your beautiful poem. I am a retired mental health therapist and i have had this feeling more times than I can ever tell! We have to learn to have tolerance with some things, and only think of positive thoughts to make it through each hour of the day. This poem is exactly how I felt for so many years, now, I just tell people what I think, in a kind but confusing way! I am reading more of your work so I can understand you better. Thanks for the kind words.

Reg, this is the hour of power poem here on the den today. On the semifinal ring victory, Frazier went to his hotel room, locked the door and soaked his thumb. His thick, swollen thumb was excrutiatingly painful. He said to himself, "This is where my power is and my thumb is broken. I am finished. How terrible. I am the only chance right now for the Americans to win the gold medal and I am broken." Then he thought about his childhood. He remembered his dad who did not have a left arm. "If my dad could support a wife and feed thirteen kids, why am I worried about a broken thumb anyway?" He prayed and he believed! When the judges votes were counted, Frazier was the winner!

I have to concur most sadly with your summary quote Regis.

It seems to be a disease of the soul, born of jealousy and envy, when people form their foul opinions and turn away. There are too many muses that dwell in darkness.

Thankyou for this timely thought. People need to understand that every flower requires its own kind of care and nurturing.

Light and harmony to you in an increasingly dissonant world ...
