Some events are life-changing, even if you have no clue at the time they happen (like eight years old). I guess at times, we get another chance... ...in French too. Lol!

The Lovely

The lovely
I love her
The lovely so far away
The child within her
Reminds me
How I love this lovely
This lovely
It's you

La Belle

La belle là-bas
Je l’aime
La belle au loin
L’enfant en elle
Me rappelle
Je l’aime cette belle
Cette belle
C'est toi.

Yes, Lily! The sentiment is there and it is not built on nothing. I cannot believe someone would express all of these sentiments and friendship and then vanish. I know I don't do that and never will either. I'm not giving up on her friendship. I also let her be herself whatever she may want out of life and I cheer for her as I cheer for you. I am not fickle and neither is the love within me. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and to leave your thoughts. xo

The thought of your true love is always lovely. You love everything that is about her, both outside and within. I like how this poem conveys your message. Thank you for sharing!

This flows like a crystal stream, Regis: so refreshing in its purity and simplicity - like looking on and thinking of a child. Rapturous thoughts of fresh discovery couched in appreciation of unsullied beauty. From the heart. Lovely! :) xx
