I Sprung

I sprung in love with you
Our rekindling brought
Your smile
Your kiss
Your touch
Your spirit
All conspired to lose me
In you
I have not been the same
Since
I do not know myself
Anymore
I do not know
A moment
When I do not think of you
I just purely
And painfully
And exquisitely
Miss you
Ache like a sunless summer
Throb like a snowless winter
Hoping
Anticipating
Wondering when
What we told each other
Will come to be

The anguish love can sometimes bring our way is an unparalleled human emotion. Worth every missed heartbeat and ounce of energy we can give it. Well said Regis we have all lived their in our lifetimes my friend. May peace and love be always with you. Jon Michael

You know how to write convincing words! Anyone would agree you are smitten with this fair lass. The phrases with purely, painfully and exquisitely stand out in a declaration of your misery without her.
My favorite parts though, are the beautiful descriptions, "Ache like a sunless summer -- Throb like a snowless winter"
Many hearts will beat faster reading this love poem.

So... your outpouring of affection (for her) moved forward in leaps and bounds. Your romantic proclivities are plainly evident here, dear Regis. Let's hope the garden burgeons. Peace to you...

... Purely, painfully, exquisitely... what a wonderful way to express this bittersweet longing, Regis. The ache and throb of this are palpable and the associated similes striking. A poem - like the love - that wraps around like a comfort blanket against the hard and lonely times. Truly felt. xx

Always heartfelt love in your poetry, regis, remarkable in this age when poets want to be thought smart and intellectual, above feeling. Keep your heart on your sleeve for many a poem to come .... kenny

Regis, to be smitten by her beauty...sensitivity...charm...to miss her sooo much...seems to be universe's call for attention and given
enough time...given the love that you are loving yourself...first...
without compromising yourself...while being hopelessly romantic...
it develops into this everlasting...genuine love...you yearn for...
Wonderful poetry!
