Lullaby
As she cuddles her child
In a blanket of love
A mother’s tender touch
Lulls her child to sleep
In the gentle voice
Of her song to the rhythm
Of her heartbeat

As I read this poem I found myself remembering the many babies I have taken care of over the years. I've never been a mother but I've rocked many to sleep and dreamt of what it must be like to have had my own. Thank you for bringing it back in such a beautiful way.
There you have it! The baby was right next to that mother's heart for nine months already. It is a familiar comforting sound. This is suitable for framing!
