Pie in the Sky and Other Stories
I once met a fellow named Kai,
Who told me there was pie in the sky;
When I asked him where,
He said, “If you dare,
You’ll find it o’er the isle of Skye.”
A fellow who's supposed to be flooring,
Is finding it all too boring;
He's eating strawberries,
While looking for fairies,
His wife will soon be roaring.
I once met a student from Bath,
Who told me she was an empath;
She would cure all my ills,
Without any pills,
As long as I helped her with her math.
Kachiri who was a bit weary,
Found a way to make herself cheery;
She went down to the river,
Ate a sliver of liver,
Making the rest of us a tad leery.
There once was a young lass from Perth,
Who sang and was replete with mirth;
When she was asked why,
She was heard to reply,
“I just found out I am royal by birth.”
I once met a lass named Mary,
Who loved life and was always merry;
Her smile lit up the room,
But when she picked up a broom,
She made every witch look like a fairy.
I know a lovely lady named Bea,
Who is where I would like to be;
She's so warm and sweet
I feel incomplete,
Without her it's no good, don’t you see?
A young one-eyed gooseherd named Jock,
Always took great care of his flock;
But a lass happened by,
And alas caught his eye,
And Jock’s flock ended up on the dock.
There once was a fisher named Janet,
Fate made it so she had no net;
She felt that was wrong,
And it was not long,
Before she was fishing with a gannet.
Lau and Terri were a dynamic pair,
Who worked in French class with a great deal of flair;
Things were never dull,
There was never a lull,
When Lau and Terri let down their hair.
(When Lau and Terri went on a tear.)
