Sweet Creepy

Sweet scent

of what is to come

creepy

by the night

she comes

weepy

by the morn

she leaves

regretting me

and sweeping leaves

of autumn

she did not mean

to shed

tears of gold

and crimson

from trees

not ready for winter

as am I not ready

for the winter

of my life

and the void

of

no more Creepy

Yes fall is creepy but to me quite scentless,
This poem to me requires me to senseless,
For without my senses my deeds are quite meaningless...-e-

I'm racking my brains to figure out who she is. Is she nature? She sheds her leaves before winter. I love poetry that keeps me guessing.

Nicely done, Reg. I am not sure any of us are ready for the "winter" of our lives, but some of us are slipping softly into it. As long as my winter still has summers, I'm good! Great view of autumn in all its forms. Best to you, good sir,
Jim

SWEET IS SWEET AND A CREEP IS A CREEP...NEVER CONFUSE THE TWO. CHALK IT UP TO EXPERIENCE AND KEEP PUSHING! THANKS FOR SHARING, POET. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

This poem hints at,
something dark and deeper.
It left me wondering,
Who is this creeper?

Wish I had someone that would creep into my bed like that. ;-)

Actually this may be a Halloween poem hinting that what is creeping is winter coming around the bend. It is quite intriguing and haunting to read.

Welcome back brother Regis! This poem did not scare but it made me well aware of the bite of Winter after Fall. Yes, I am ready for a mild change but my bones say, "No thank you" to the chill in the air, after all. Well done, once again!
