I DON'T EVEN TRY TO FIGURE THINGS OUT, REGIS, I JUST GLORY IN THE FACT THAT THERE 'IS' SOMEONE THAT KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON AND, EVEN THOUGH SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE IT, WHO HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL. THE MORE I LIVE, THE MORE I REALIZE HOW 'TRUE' THE WORD OF GOD IS. AND I'M THINKING ABOUT A PARTICULAR VERSE(PVB 3:5-6)THAT SAYS; 'TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART AND LEAN 'NOT' TO YOUR 'OWN' UNDERSTANDING, IN ALL OF OUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE WILL DIRECT OUR PATHS. THE LORD, OF COURSE, KNEW THESE TIMES WERE COMING, REGIS. HE KNEW THE TIME WOULD COME WHEN EVERYTHING WOULD BE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN. I'M SO GLAD THAT I DON'T FOLLOW A RELIGION OR OTHER PEOPLE...I FOLLOW AND TRUST IN GOD'S GUIDANCE FOR HE IS THE 'ONLY THING' THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME IN THIS 'MISHMASH WORLD'. THANKS FOR SHARING. Alvin Toffler, many years ago, predicted a phenomenon he called, "Future Shock." That future has arrived and with it, an explosion of knowledge, grievances, and ways to communicate that were unheard of by Toffler. Big Brother has arrived, but instead of controlling us, we are all buying him to catch the petty thieves and even armed door crashing robbers at our door in record time in high definition.

Summing it all up. Worldwide, things are better every year. On a personal level like you describe, it may be horrifying trying to keep up.

Ready to believe anything, especially if it fits their perceptions. Cool write that cuts to the heart of the matter.

The wording and breakneck pace of this poem capture the madness of the modern world perfectly Regis. I can imagine it as a recorded work, accompanied by a rather frenetic music track.

It is a mish mash world indeed, a patchwork , some muted some bold,

The world seen through the eyes of TV and the internet is a mess.
But by travel and talk to common people and you can put that to rest.
I have talked to people from Israel and folks from Iran.
They want to live in peace and tranquility, however, they can!
Most say that what you see in the news is the worst things every day.
But the average folks live in peace and harmony, so what can you say?
I say go and experience the truth in different parts of the world.
In the US most kids are not experiencing crime; ask any boy or girl.
Out of millions of folks, the media zooms in on one senseless crime.
Because of one mentally insane person, we want big changes this time!
If we put time into teaching love and care that comes from the heart.
These kids would not be angry and commit a crime from the very start!
You can talk to the average kid who goes to school in the US today.
Most are concerned and want to help these neglected kids in every way.
Yes, we can change gun laws and rules and regulations that is true.
But, there are so many ways to hurt others who hurt so what can we do?
Spread more love to those lost and neglected, give them hope and care.
So we can start right now in our own commuity; what do you say mate?
