 My Little Poem

I know this little poem
She lives beyond the sea
If you saw what I see
If you knew what I know
You’d get why she’s with me
Ever present on my mind
Always gentle and so kind
Sweet and sparkling like morning dew
She ever keeps me from straying
To the beckoning darkened places
She’s my very best friend
She could be my lover
Perhaps my mother
There is no one like my little poem
She’s a snowflake all her own
There is no question that I love her
For we have been together
I can wait forever
For my sweet little poem
Who lives beyond the sea
To write her verses on me

I call mine "inspiration." Some days she visits and some she doesn't. But I welcome her with open arms on days like today.

A sweet personification of your love for poetry and your passionate passion to be loved. May a poem one day grasp you in its arms and kiss you silly for this silly poem that is so sincere. ;-)

Your "little poem" is not so little after all. Well done, Regis, a fine idea beautifully executed.

Each one of us is a character in someone else's dreams. We are all poems, stories. We can be anything that our dreamers want us to be.

Good poem, Regis! Love it!
