Darkness fell inside my heart,
leaving was the hardest part,
when light followed into night,
nothing left for love, but flight.
Sorrow soon to leave us gray,
colors shadowed from the day,
moonlite gone in hidden sighs,
only sorrow in goodbyes.
Watching from a drowning sea,
knowing what can never be,
deepest blue the tears that cry,
dying under violet skies.
