Intruders　 Yesterday intruded on today. Specters and angels Laying bear Misdeeds and virtues. Leaving me to witness The magnitude of each. Good versus evil, Bad overriding good. How can I A child of the inherent dishonestly Blinded by self interest-- The need to be right-- To be self protecting-- Self congratulatory-- Knowing that self approval Is the only path to self acceptance-- Safety-- And self redemption Judge the value of my life fairly? ã 2009 Barbara Ann Duffy

I like the way you look at yourself in this...honestly and openly. It is often confusing as to what we should or shouldn't recognize in ourselves. If we are proud then we are accused of being vain, if we are quiet we are accused of being self absorbed, if we stand up for ourselves we are accused of being stubborn and argumentive so yea it is hard to see just what we are...but to believe in ourselves we don't need anyone else...do we?
