It isn't easy getting old
the aches the pains the shocks
it isn't easy bending down
when pulling up ones socks.

Constant ringing in your ears
the sight of wrinkly skin
disappearing bits of food
down wrinkles on the chin

The excercise is endless
at times when no one see's 
getting up in the middle of night
at the call of the pointless pee's.

Remembering things forgotten
when you once were twenty two
forgetting what you need right now
and urgently must do.

It is'nt easy getting old
you wish for youth again
except the adolescent stage
that really was a pain

It is'nt easy getting old
the cost of things sky high
you're always paying more and more
to simply just get by.

But Ageing has it's moments
as you watch your kids get old
you realise your grandkids
are a treasure trove of gold.
