This is a true incident that happened at our local livestock auction.

Well gather round folks, I'm gonna tell you a story,
About a cowgirl that must've thought she's a boy.
This story beats all that I ever saw,
The whole thing happened down in Arkansas.

The buyers and sellers had gathered around,
The cattle sale was about to get down.
The Auctioneer's mike was tuned just right,
All of the cowboys had gathered in tight.

When a cowgirl walked in and low and behold,
She took her a seat on the very front row.
She had on cowgirl blouse, skirt and boots,
As she propped her boots up on the ring, it was easy to tell, she really didn't give a hoot.

As the auctioneer started, he kept ducking his head,
His face and ears were turning beet red.
It seemed he couldn't face the cowgirl's stare,
All he could see was her boots in the air.

He couldn't keep his mind on selling the boars,
Cause the cowgirl with the boots didn't seem to have any drawers.
Finally saying to the cowgirl, hoping to slip it by,
The front row, honey, is reserved for those that buy.

The cowgirl spoke then, to the auctioneer's dismay,
Leaning back a little farther, she had this to say.
I came here with my hard earned money, pockets nearly full,
And I'm not moving or leaving until I buy me a black bull.

Now, I know it's cooler to have on less clothes,
But when you come to the auction, just be in the know.
You're not going to save money, just cause you're a lass,
Or cause you sit with your boots up, showing your class.

Now, If you're a hard working cowgirl, and not a casual flirt,
And if you insist on wearing cowgirl boots and cowgirl skirt.
Here's some good direction and advice that's sound,
When you come to the auction, just keep your boots on the ground.

Hi Laveral, well this isn't Arkansas here, but this reminds of a girl who came to a baseball game with just a short sundress on and barefoot. She sat on the top of the picnic table with legs wide open... for air I guess... players kept telling her boyfriend to tell her to cover herself... she wouldn't listen... and the worst part was that she was 7 months pregnant... uh... yeah... I like your story telling....

In Spirit,
Bear
