Is there really such a thing as sleeping? Are those vivid "dreams" that seem so real actually just a dream? Perhaps there's something else really going on... This is the first of a series that I intend to have it tell a story and perhaps it will become a book of its own someday.
As I lay me down to sleep I pray that the lord Will allow me to wake Now that I know how they creep Resting ones eyes is truly fake Little blue men with legs like goats Fliter in from a dense gray smoke They sweep through the room Illustrating a dream Leaving you to claim What will never be the same Awaken to light, blinding your sight You'll only remember what was swept from the night If you see them, pretend to sleep deep Pray that the blinding light Will be your last leap
