Though this appears to be a sad write, I think you capture what it's like to be human in this piece. We are a combination of memories, upbringing, morals, present circumstances, emotions, compassion, regrets, experiences...the list goes on. It seems like bedtime often brings thoughts of the past and daily events. Regrets and memories seem to rule sleep hours. I love the last line of this poem because it challenges that saying about how everything seems better after a good night of sleep. Does it? I don't think so. I think it only postpones troubles and lowers the level of a person's passionate response - sometimes for the best. The strength of emotion in this piece draws compassion from the reader - the mark of a Great Writer! Love and Hugs~

Wow, such an emotional write of sadness and memories of the past. Don't know if it is fiction or not, if not press on look to tomorrow life is too short. If it is fiction my friend you've really captured the emotion of sorrow. Enjoyed this powerful write!
