when you are young it is not a tatter for laughing, when you get a bit older it is best approached with a sense of humour.

it is late in the day for changing beds
but the force that drove a young man's ardor
still drives an old man’s folly. you came
to me a picture of respectability, modest
frock and sensible shoes. what I thought
to be a chink in your armor turned out
to be a trap for me. naked we grappled
and groped, rubbed end tongued, finally
penetrating to the hart of the matter.
now entwined body and soul we wonder
if we can find our way out of this embrace
let alone try once more the new old dance
