The mighty dragon awoke from its slumber
and the world shook from the strength of his flame.
Forests quaked, and rivers ran faster
hoping to outrun the fright.
On a cold night, his fire roared
through the sky, hoping to find
the mate he had left behind.
Sadness ran through his scales,
and salted water ran from his eyes,
he didn’t know that he could cry,
this had never happened before,
what was in store for him?
Could he live without her?
Could he find his way in this
foreign world, where everything
had changed while his slumber went on?
Hope ~ yes, hope that he
will find what he needs to survive...
The love that he fought for,
the love that meant everything.
Was this all a dream?
