You silly old fool,

But Moses just raised his hands
And parted the Red Sea water.

Who's the fool in command
Who sent us parading around?
But Joshua just smiled
As the walls of Jericho came down.

You stupid young boy!
Don't you know you can't win!
But David just smiled
As he loaded his sling.


Stupid old man
Playing with your words and your verses!
But I just smile and keep writing,
The Lord'll handle the blessings and the curses.

We're all just fools for the Lord
With faith in things unseen.
Doing things unheard of,
Achieving things undreamed.
