(Another humourus look at our modern technological "wonders")
Well there it sits in its hole in the wall.
Supposedly there at our beck and call.
All glassy eyed and plastic faced,
But not a patch on the helpful, young teller replaced.
But the bank up and left for a larger town,
Not the next one mind you, but the one further down.
If you bundle your money and envelope it
It will cheerfully gobble it up and spit you a chit.
But it won't give a smile or some friendly advice,
Or do anything even remotely like nice.
But if you curse it a little and stick it with a PIN
It may grudgingly give back some of your money ag'in.
In a day or two a big van will visit
And take out our old notes and with new ones fill it.
But this week they'll have to make an extra trip,
'Cause the ATM just ate my money, my card, and my slip!
