In the end I think things will be just fine

Toast the New Year night with a bottle of the best champagne wine

Feast on some dinner appetizers then have a smoke to unwind

Spend the winter evening with my friends who are most kind

Listen to the happy music flow through my carefree mind

Watch the shiny ball drop in the city of square time

Make loud noise as the seconds begin to drop like a dime

Kiss my love at the stroke of midnight who is the one that is just mine

Start the New Year where I think things will finally be just fine
