Sixteen years, eleven months
Twenty days to the day
I can’t remember my first steps
At that early age
Was I pushed, was I made
How did it feel, to be so afraid
At a young age, that young age
You left me raped, left me tattered
Left me torn, left me shattered
My whole life, broken into pieces
After sixteen years I’ve just begun
To pick up the many pieces
And start anew once more
I grew up fast
I grew up strong
Hiding the weakness all through and long
Could not admit all of my wrongs
Defying the force so
Meaningless yet strong
You left me raped, left me tattered
Left me torn, left me shattered
My whole life, broken into pieces
After sixteen years I’ve just begun
To pick up the many pieces
And start anew once more
The quiet paces outside my window
Like the tears silent on my pillow
Left raped, weaker than weak
Letting go of all the hope, no chance for escape
You left me raped, left me tattered
Left me torn, left me shattered
My whole life, broken into pieces
After sixteen years I’ve just begun
To pick up the many pieces
And start anew once more
You left me raped, left me tattered
Left me torn, left me shattered
My whole life, broken into pieces
After sixteen years I’ve just begun
To pick up the many pieces
And start anew once more
You just wrote my biographical poem, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I like the rhyme and the flow to it. Really good and really speaks with a loud whisper.
Warm Love
