A HOUSEWIFE'S LAMENT
I've washed too many pairs of dirty hands.
And cleaned a zillion pots and pans.
I've removed spots from the brand new carpet,
And made endless trips to the supermarket.
I've tripped scores of times on a toy in the hall,
And scrubbed a hundred marks from the ivory wall.
Now I am ready to run or fly
To a land where pants are always dry.
Where our spouses don't come home and say,
"What, darling, did you do today?"
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr don't you HATE it when they do that??? like all we do is sit on our butts and watch soap operas or something!
hysterically written, and o, so true!
(((HUGS))) and love,
karla. :)
Very good. Vicky
