A poem about a fun, summer activity.
Near Pacific Ocean five surfers stride all in single file boards at their side Orange sunset behind them signals time to go Have a bite to eat maybe see a show Early tomorrow morning waves expected to rise They'll be so huge won't believe your eyes Tell the girls to come bring some food to eat We can have a picnic after waves retreat

A California ritual for some. Although it could be in Hawaii. Either way, what a wonderful way to spend a day. My only day body surfing at Santa Cruz reminded me how cold the water was. Every couple of attempts required me to get out of the 55� water onto the beach to warm up in the sun with the air temperature only at around 70�. Only caught one wave that whole day.
