~ Dunk’in Cookies ~ Dunk’in Cookies in milk, creates happy grins. Snack time is fun time, milk running off chins. Dunk’in Cookies in milk, at night before bed, Treats for our children, completely well fed. A distant world away, children live in primal fear. Tasting hunger everyday, salted with their tears. Famine robbing little ones, of cookie dunk’in days, Fantasies and day dreams, never born to famished babes. Still on our horizons, peaceful sharing yet to come, When impoverished children don’t exist…not a single one. When children can be children, unconcerned in playful fun. The sad part about it is that there are too many children that have never tasted a cookie, let alone having the milk to dunk it in. Great message in this poem, Bonnie.

So sad Bonnie that children have to live in poverty. I agree with everyone here when I say that this is a powerful message from a tender heart. I too, pray that the world can stop its bickering, and take care of what is important. Our children. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly.
