Pretty as the precious jewel it holds.

Little Boxes holding leaves, green frogs tucked in children’s sleeves,
A tiny little toad abode for one.
Small sturdy cardboard boxes, house a child’s imagination,
Containers full of afternoons in fun.

Little Boxes holding junk, magnets forming one huge clump,
A tiny little necessity of home.
Small covered plastic boxes, saving keys in case they work,
Location of said boxes still unknown.

Little Boxes holding keepsake, kept inside dresser drawers,
A tiny little private luxury.
Small sentimental boxes, old letters, pictures, poems,
A special box of cherished memories.

Little Boxes everywhere, rectangular, oval, round or square,
A tiny little overlooked device.
Small very useful boxes, found clear around our world,
Functional in every walk of life.
