Morality
How doth one kindle the passion of the heart
Within the mystery of the soul
where doth one find the line of ones thoughts
and deed within ourselves
Shall I spare you your torment?
And offer unto you those words
offering her upon the altar for your bidding?
Thy lovely maiden whom you so desire
Whose golden hair brushes your breast
whose milky skin basks before you
whose eyes cry out for your touch
Effortlessly you indulge your desires
Those words you so desired to hear
No longer do you struggle with your morality
for the feast of the flesh became stronger than love
and now you cry in woe begging for mercy
For you did not see the wisdom of choice
nor cry for the deed you chose
Weep not for wisdom was placed before you
and your flesh was stronger than love

nor cry for the deed you chose

This is theme that is universal and timeless in this world/life. Powerfully expressed, Carol. Love and best wishes,

A fate that many have experienced throughout time.
This is so characteristic for so many men. How much has been destroyed already by the weakness and the short term selfish satisfaction of the flesh.
What a beautiful poem to pinpoint the loss of morality by the weakness of the flesh.

Take thy joy in lust and laughter
And live both in the light and dark
Let never shame become your master
As into night God steers thy barque
Strong and proud thy rod must stand
Potent symbol of the Son
Sink deep the sword of fleeting passion
In the flesh thy strength has won
Let spirit ever guide thy hand
Let mercy not untempered be
By lust for life and bloodied passion
For life requires severity

A look at the frail maiden, passion growth
A wisp of perfume and a slender leg
Tender kiss, moonlit eyes, love and lust; both.
