When I reached for you, you seemed so elusive
Hiding behind leaves that dance
and in between light and dark

So often...
I cried out for you with the yearning
of a lone siren at sea
Wet hair whipping my face
Eyes salty with desire
Longing in my song
Drowning in each breath of air.
that filled my lungs with tongues of fire

You crashed against my rocks
Cast your identity upon my sand
The bubbles burst
but left their intricate patterns behind

I told myself to 'You can do it!'
Set my shoulder to the rusted wheel
Pressed in hard, pushed forward
tied knots in my thoughts
so I could unearth how I feel
I tapped symbols on a keyboard
Morse in dots and dashes
Creative processes in a code
not many would understand.

I wrote of love and of passion
and the pain I have known
Then I cut through the delicate fabric,
and dewed up those emotions
that once brought me to my knees
And yet,
Through the tapestry of stitches,
my life still bleeds

l am calling out for you again
This time with confidence
An excited child, trembling
on a ledge high above the world
wanting to take the leap
while still afraid to fall.

Tell me I have wings and can fly
Take me up in your currents
wrap me in your arms of sky
and lead me to the edge, over
and back again

Finally,

I'm ready for you
Now come to me,
  'My inspiration'.

~Chanti, That is exactly how poetry should be looked at(just what you
said).

Many assumed this poem was about love and passion but it was actually a call for 'inspiration'. Some people would say I was calling for my muse. Creativity is a gift but I also feel that it is an ability to tap into something outside of oneself. I could ascribe a spiritual slant to this but it may get a bit complicated. Poetry is often best left to personal interpretation. Each takes from it what they will.

Such beauty and truth, said in expression of love and soul!
I know these feelings well, and the strength in which you were given!
A grateful loving expressive poem!
As you reach where you NEED to be Chanti!
God Bless YOU, Edwin,(Eddy) and etc...

Love reigns supreme! IN my book!
WRITE ON!

P.S. Fly amongst them all and you will NOT fall! Let your passionate for emotions be seen by all, as I hope to take this same upward flight...I see in the depths of my sight!

by the power vested in me,I now proclaim you have the alar appendages that free you to soar above the earth, above your emotions -- confidence resides in the valley of the spirit of open minds where feathers fly and drift with grace - a most magnificent capture of the emotions of self confidence -- your work is to be admired - peace and love-- Jon Michael

You receive inspiration in the full measure that you give it. Call it inspiration or call it love. Either is a synonym for giving and sharing. We are grateful that you let us observe the process.

A very passionate and emotion filled expression of poem...to be inspired like this is to truly know or to have truly experienced more than life...

love is the emotional tie to inspiration, it can have us within the skies and the dreams of beyond...may your love last into Eternity...

nice...
