NIGHTMARE

I cry out at night

I cry from the dept of my sleep

I cry out to you to love me again

To give me those feelings I so long for

I try to hold on to you but you move away

I wipe my eyes to see through the blurs

The blurs of the images of you

You keep moving away

I run up and try to catch you

You slip right through my hands

I feel a powerful kick in my chest

That’s just the pain of watching you walk away

As I ache I cry out for you to stay

I try to run after you but I am plated on the spot

I feel wetness on my eyes and try to wipe

They are not my tears but kisses from you on my eyelids.

I come back to life and see you by my side in my bed

The pain evaporates; it was all just a dream

You pull me to you and reassure me

It was but a dream, never to come true .
