Ho-hum, the world's falling apart;

this I saw right from the start.

Some say that the bible has no relevance;

so much disobedience, many without benevolence.

Ho-hum, the bible is not for me;

I do what I want, don't ya see?

Hypocrisy dominates the culture of today;

you telling me I can avoid the fray?

Ho-hum, some wallow in the mire;

others have gone completely haywire.

Their life experiences no fragrant garden;

judging by appearances only, never any pardon.

Ho-hum, I continue on my old merry way;

I am complacent, it's my mainstay.

How can you tell me the bible gives delight;

I've heard about the history of the Israelite.

Without humility the bible reveals no blessing;

rely on men's insight, your life full of misgiving.
