I'm not sure I have it anymore, this poetry thing, this expression of ethereal, otherworldly, spiritual, intuitive offering of feelings creatively expressed. But I'll try. I'll continue to try.
Hi Janet, I may have a poetic grove right now. Then for weeks it's gone. That's why I love Authors Den. I start writing another author about their poem and an idea spins in my head from what I wrote or from a short story. Half of my poems are conjured this way because when I become very passionate about a subject and I am bursting to express it. I pray it works for you as well.

One does not have to "have" it in order to express it. No one knows at the onset whether a poem will strike a chord with readers or not. At least I don't. It's wonderful, after writing many poems, to have one stand out and become, "it."
