A driver I’d be called,
As a lifelong career,
I know now I miss the road,
When have it I do not,
Most things I’ve done when I was still young,
Involved work in and around motor vehicles,
Pumping gas at a Hess station on the graveyard shift,
My own business as an auto detailer but since there’s been a rift,
No longer can I do detailing, not even on my own car, kills my lower back,
Damn herniated discs do hurt to high hell, very little pain do I lack.

I drove nearly every state in the union and across Western Canada twice in the East once, into Mexico border area multiple times. Well over 500,000 miles. Loved every mile, even commuting in Houston. A car guy through and through. No trucks for me.
