 Electric

Baby, play that electric guitar

Make it scream like a maniac on something strong

Let’s get our freak on in the night

But first turn me on with a sound that takes a bite

It grabs my attention like you grab my ass

It makes me moan and puts me in a trance

I am hearing Prince coming through

And some sweet Phil Collen too

Play When Doves Cry or Let’s Go Crazy

Dance. Music. Sex. Romance makes me want to have your baby

Love Bites, but you are my Animal

Kiss me Deadly

Let’s lose control

Work those strings with your strong fingers

Pull out all of the stops while you caress my inner goddess

And when it is over we will both sigh

Sharing a cigarette and getting ready for the next time

Our nights last long when we come on strong

May they never end

You are my lover and my friend

Play that guitar.
Bend those strings.
I feel like dancing,
and my heart sings.

I remember when Bob Dylan was booed for coming on stage with an electric guitar. But oh how that electric guitar turned everybody on up to and including this insightful look into what it does for the female psyche. Like said, "tune in, drop out and turn on." Never used drugs. That electric guitar was all I needed to come.

As you can see, your poem brings back great memories of great performances.

I'm worn out just from reading this the five times that I did. Hah!
